New Delhi woke up to a fog free albeit gloomy day.The sun has not been able to breach the Cloud Cover. Nearby hills at Simla got their snow blanket and Delhi would now enjoy its share of chill.
We set out from home to board AI-889 to Imphal via Guwahati.A great breakfast at the "Altitude Lounge" of the Airport is already in the belly and the flight is a bit delayed due to maintenance. This flight takes off from New Delhi and shapes Course up North till it sights Mt Everest. Turning starboard (right) towards Assam,it gives a majestic view of the "Jewel amongst Mountains" before the aircraft picks up tail winds to gather its cruising speed. Trust the great aviators of will not trash my theory!!
Looking forward to a late evening touchdown at noisy and dusty Imphal. St. OM in an Army Mess beckons.More follows.
